For theatre photography I attempt to fulfil two functions – First, during the rehearsal period, taking shots that can be used for publicity purposes before the show opens to stimulate press and social media interest. Second, during production, I try to faithfully record the show itself in images that live beyond the production’s life, capturing a sense of the mood, energy and character of the show.
